~ Preston & Billierose ~
Billierose and Preston married Friday, August 21st, 2009 at Magnolia Hall in Arlington, WA. They definately have been my most favorite couple so far this year!
Our journey began after Billierose contacted me from my listing on the Gathering Guide. I was so blessed to have had the chance to work with them. They have a rich history between them -- they have been a couple for almost 14 years. It was a challenge to be able to write a ceremony for them that could reflect AND do justice to the love they share!
During our initial consultation, I was happy to hear that they were interested in having premarital sessions prior to wedding day. For the last few months, leading up to their wedding, we had a standing Sunday afternoon scheduled with the three of us. During this time, I was able to learn more about them individually and as a couple. I appreciated how personal they were with me and the sharing that went along during each of our sessions. (I jokingly told Preston and Billierose when I saw them on rehearsal night that I felt out of place not meeting with them the three Sundays prior to their wedding day and was having withdrawls!)
On wedding day, I was amazed with all of the details Billierose had made from the wedding hall to the reception. She was very detailed oriented and had complete instructions and diagrams of her vision. Preston's best man's wife was her day-of coordinator and helped with the decorating of the venue (see pic below, pre-ceremony). This is a great tip for all bridal couples to consider -- selecting a family member or friend who can and will execute your plans the way you've intended. This allows both the bride and groom to have their wedding day freed up for other details, like getting ready and photos. Billierose, I hope you'll consider writing a "how-to" guide to planning a wedding. You did a fabulous job from your organizational skills, creating & keeping a budget and creating memories to last a lifetime. All of your hard work paid off!

I had the privilege of working with Jenny GG Photography (
www.jennyggphotography.com) and JWade Photography (
www.jwadephotography.com) photogs, Jenny and Jen. I had previously worked with both gals (who also happen to be best friends) on previous weddings. Their spunk, charisma and professionalism was wonderful to work with! Billierose and Preston had chosen to have pre-ceremony photos taken at the University of Washington campus and then made their way to Arlington to Magnolia Hall. Despite the traffic and the commute, both Jenny and Jen showed up with smiles on their faces, hitting the ground running to get to work. I can't wait to see the pictures from the wedding -- the engagement photos can be seen on Jenny GG's blog. Beautiful!
