You Never Know Who You Might See Again!
Me with Salina & Miranda
My days as a wedding officiant has enabled me to run into former couples I've served. Sometimes, I'm lucky to even work with them again. This was the case with a previous bride, Salina, who I served in the summer of 2008. I had the privilege of "marrying off" Salina's friends, Spencer and Miranda, on August 8th, 2009.
Miranda and Spencer were in search of an officiant who could meet their needs. They had spoken with many officiants prior to talking with me. During our initial consultation, Miranda explained to me that many officiants didn't seem to meet what they were looking for -- many required premarital classes, were not warm and friendly and some even came across as being uninterested or too business-like. Salina is a friend of Miranda and her husband from high school. She was also serving as Miranda's bridesmaid. Miranda had talked with Salina about the obstacles she was running into. That's when Salina told her about me!
It's always such an honor to have a couple contact me as a result of a previous client referring me to them. I believe that it is a true testimony of confidence that my past client has in my abilities, my service and the care and quality I invest in each of my couples. It's as though my previous client is entrusting their family member or friend into my care.
Miranda and Spencer were so fun to work with! Miranda's spunk and Spencer's easy-going attitude was warmly welcomed. Their requests were simple -- to have a celebration that they would share with their family and friends that reflected who they were as a couple. Well, they came to see the right person! In their ceremony, I spoke of their relationship, how they've grown since their days back in high school and how their love has evolved. Working with Miranda's family and friends was just as fun! Miranda and Spencer's parents were very welcoming and kind. I received so many compliments that evening -- my heart was full!
Thank you, again, Miranda, Spencer and Salina! May you all be blessed.
