The $200 Wedding
(No, this is not a typo. Yes, you did read it right!)
More and more couples are looking into smaller ceremonies. Many are resorting to a "justice of the peace" ceremony and making an appointment with a local judge to seal their commitment. Why? For convenience but more commonly, to save money.
Getting married in an office or in between criminal cases isn't very romantic sounding to me. I wanted to offer an alternative that was cost-effective and added some traditional wedding elements. The idea of the "$200 wedding" was born!
For $200, I will provide:
* a fresh flower bridal bouquet
* a fresh flower boutineer for groom
* the performance of your wedding
* a small cake for cutting
* bottle of champagne or sparkling cider for toasting
* silverware, plates & glasses (for the bride, groom and up to four guests)
* keepsake copy of ceremony
* all final paperwork filed with county
For an nominal fee, I can also arrange for a photographer, video taping of your ceremony, supply music and witnesses. Please inquire directly for availability of these services.
All you have to do is select a date, check my availability and a venue. (I can always provide some ideas for free or reasonably-priced venues if needed.) Please note this rate is for an elopement style celebration and is not valid towards celebrations with more than 4 guests. Additional guests will increaste the price of this package -- please email for an approximate quote.
Travel to and from the ceremony site is included within Snohomish county. A small travel fee will be charged for cities within King. outlying portions of Snohomish county, Skagit, and Whatcom counties.
Who says you can't have a quick wedding ceremony without the bells and whistles??
